Hamilton County Historical
Alliance met at Randall City Hall on Saturday, October 22, 2016. The meeting
was called to order at 10:10 am. The agenda and minutes from the last meeting
were approved.
Group organization was discussed. It was decided
the group would meet 4 times per year in the months of January, April,
July, and October. The meetings will be on the 3rd Saturday of the month,
starting at 10:00 AM. They will be hosted by the towns in alphabetical
order.
The Alliance will have officers of Chairman and Secretary.
The group elected Janet Adix as Chairman, and Debra Caudle as secretary.
There were suggestions for topics, such as origins
of the names of each town. Another suggestion was for the hosting town
to talk about a piece of their town history. Each of the other towns
would then have 5 minutes to report or share information. Lyn Vandebrake,
of Randall, writes for Farm History. She would like to get a story
from each town that hosts.
Reports: Speakers have 5 minutes for reports.
