In 2004, the Ellsworth Community Association was awarded this framed award
from the Iowa Depoartment of Transportation that is a Certificate of Appreciation
for efforts in helping maintain and enhance the beauty of Iowa's roadsides by 
being an Adopt-A-Highway sponsor from July 1997 - July 2004.

The population of Ellsworth in 2010 was 531.

This award recognizes, with an Honorable Mention, the Ellsworth Extravaganza as Best Special Event.

It says, "Your commitment to Excellence sets the Standard for all of Main Street Iowa."
